Modular course CPL(A)

Get the theoretical basics and practical knowledge to obtain the CPL(A) license.

If you want to be a pilot, you need a professional pilot license, which allows you to operate commercial flights (panoramic flight, co-pilot in multi-pilot aircraft, flight instructor, …).

Where does education take place?

At the Portorož Airport

What does education cover?
  • 250 hours of theory (doesn't include the theory holders of ATPL(A) - theory for CPL(A) is admitted)
  • Holders of the license WITH instrumental flight rating on single-engine (IR/SE) aircraft: at least 15 hours of flight
  • Holders of the license WITHOUT instrumental flight rating on single-engine (IR/SE) aircraft: at least 25 hours of flight
What else do I need to get my license?

* Before the start of the course of 150 hours of flying on the aircraft, of which are at least: minimum of 100 hours as Flight Manager (PIC); minimum of 20 hours of cross-country flights; navigation flight longer than 540 km (300 NM) with two stops at the non-departure airport; night flight rating

The course of education

Theoretical part
The theoretical part of education is adapted to previous theoretical experience. In case the candidate doesn't have the ATLP(A) theory completed, the course consists of 250 hours of theoretical lectures or is adapted to the candidate's experiences. Practical part
The practical part of the education is performed in different ways, depending on the previous flight experiences or the obtained ratings of the candidate.
Holders of the license WITH instrumental flight rating on single-engine (IR/SE) aircraft:
  • a minimum of 10 hours of flight on Cessna 172N
  • a minimum of 5 hours of flight on Piper PA28R or
  • a minimum of 6 hours of flight on Piper Seneca III PA34-220T
Holders of the license WITHOUT instrumental flight rating on single-engine (IR/SE) aircraft:
  • a minimum of 10 hours of flight on Cessna 172N
  • a minimum of 10 hours instrumental flying training of which; a maximum of 5 hours on FNPT II
  • a minimum of 5 hours of flight on Piper PA28R or
  • a minimum of 6 hours of flight on Piper Seneca III PA34-220T

* The practical part of education depends on weather conditions
